Who we are

TIO is a creative agency specializing in brand strategy, market communication, advertising and design. We help businesses communicate to their stakeholders with a unique, clear and consistent voice. To be heard in today’s over-saturated media landscape, efficient brand communication must be designed holistically to convey a unified message to internal and external stakeholders, then transmitted via multiple media.

By aligning ourselves to each client’s strategic vision, we ensure that our work is focused on concrete marketing objectives, rather than dictated by simple creative whims or technological indulgences.

TIO was founded in 2009 by designer Norman Rabinovich and brand strategist Michael Raisanen. Our team consists of 20 creative professionals across design, strategy, communication, technology advertising, public relations and new media.

The agency is headquartered in New Canaan, Connecticut with an office in Gothenburg, Sweden.

  • Michael Raisanen, CEO / Founder
    -

    Michael has more than a decade of executive experience in marketing and communications. He started his career at NFO Worldwide, Sweden, devising and implementing global market surveys in the automotive, software and banking industries.

    He acted as communications consultant for several leading research organizations including the Victoria Institute, a prominent think tank specializing in future telematics and consumer technology interfaces. He is the co-founder of Service Recordings, one of the most influential independent music labels in Scandinavia.

    After relocating to the US in 2003 for a career in market communications, Michael has helped create several successful communications and online marketing programs for clients such as Flickr.com, Amazon.com, Fujifilm and Seagate.

     

  • Annabel Kelly, Managing Director

    A graduate of psychology and a veteran of opinion research, Annabel’s approach to marketing and communications is very much insight driven.

    Obsessed with planning and detail, Annabel has an impeccable record for managing highly complex projects on time and within budget. As the youngest ever director at the research firm Ipsos in London, for example, she directed a multi-client/multi-audience Key Influencer Tracking program; Shell’s Global Reputation Tracking program; and the inaugural wave of pwc’s Annual Global CEO Survey. As an advisor to many corporate marketers and communicators, especially in the B2B space, Annabel became an instrumental part of the Ipsos’ own marketing team and was relocated to its New York office to support the startup of its public affairs business in the US.

    Annabel’s published research has received widespread press coverage. She is also a regular contributor to whymomsrule.com, a blog on marketing to moms.

     

  • Tore Claesson, Creative Director, China

    Tore has worked as a creative director at agencies such as HLR/BBDO, Hall & Cederquist/Y&R, Anderson & Lembke/McCann and Ogilvy.

    During his more than 20 years in advertising he’s been based in Stockholm, Singapore, Tokyo, Hongkong, Amsterdam and New York.

    He was a regional creative director for Ogilvy on the IBM account in Asia Pacific, and later worldwide creative director on the same account based in New York, responsible for all Interactive and DM work for IBM.

    He has also worked on a range of other award-winning accounts in several categories. Automotive, hi-tech, telecommunications, fashion, consumer goods, spirits and many more. On accounts such as Volvo, Saab, BMW, Chivas Regal, Martell, Ericsson, Microsoft and Apple to name but a few. Ranging from worldwide assignments to smaller local and regional clients.
